Founder and Director, GrantTree
Paulina is a serial entrepreneur, a TEDx speaker and a founder of GrantTree started with a purpose to help tech startups navigate the complex world of government funding. In the last six years the team grew organically from 2 to 30, and raised over £50m for more than 600 technology startups and mature companies using solely government funding schemes such as R&D tax credits and Innovate UK grants. GrantTree is also an open culture company which pioneered open salary scheme, and an empowering workplace. Two years ago GrantTree launched its own Professional Workspace with Soul in Clerkenwell London to help spread its cultural values and create a brilliant working environment for other companies too. Paulina is also a seed investor and startup mentor, often featured as a woman in fintech, speaker and panelist. Paulina will deliver a seminar very helpful to those of you who are ready to consider alternative funding sources and cringe at the prospect of having to dilute your share in your own business in order to secure funds. You will learn: - what types of grants are available to the tech sector in the UK and EU; - which grants are worth applying for at different stages of the development of your business; - about easily avoidable mistakes while writing your own grant application and what it takes to succeed; - how to make the most of R&D tax credits and get the money in weeks before HMRC approves the claim and transfers the funds, - how not to miss out on non dilutive funding available out there and use it to scale your company faster.
